Rusticata is the Italian word for rusticated.  Why rusticated? Being the grandchild of italian immigrants, my childhood was filled with sights, sounds, and smells from my grandparents life in the italian countryside. These memories, songs, food were home to them, and being raised with this influence, it also became home to me.  Holding my heritage dear to me, I've stayed true to my grandparents vision of "home", learning all the recipes and ways of living that I could. I made Rusticata so I could share this lifestyle with others and let them join in my familigia.
